Halloween isn’t only celebrated by small trick-or-treaters. You can use this holiday to your advantage in your office. Celebrating Halloween allows everyone to have a little fun, builds morale, and also helps build teamwork. Here are three ways you can incorporate this freaky holiday at your office.
Halloween Party
Usually this works best during lunch time. Set up decorations in your break room or cafeteria and treat your employees to a free lunch (if your budget allows). Having a party allows employees from different departments an opportunity to interact with one another.
Costume Contest
Send out an email with the contest rules and regulations (you may want to have separate contests for teams and individuals). You can award prizes for best and worst costume, most original, scariest, best makeup, etc.
Area Decorating
Allow employees to decorate their area. Provide them with some supplies if you can like spider webs, fake spiders, and pumpkins, all can be relatively inexpensive online or at the dollar store. They may end up creating their cubicles into a haunted house or graveyard — take lots of pictures and post them across your social media!
